Seleverkstedet High Fleece dog boot paw sock grey
4-pack size S
A soft and comfortable tall paw sock in high-quality fleece that provides protection while being very comfortable to wear.
The socks are sewn with strong seams on the side and a seamless toe area. Perfect for dry conditions to protect the dog's paws on bare ground, ice, and hard-packed snow. The paw socks provide good protection without the dog losing sensation of the ground. This is important for both balance and movement.
Why a tall paw sock and double Velcro?
Some dogs experience chafing around the dewclaw with "regular" paw socks. This can be avoided by covering the dewclaw. Here is a solution that solves this easily by fastening the lower Velcro around the "wrist" and the upper Velcro over the dewclaw. Double Velcro - twice as secure.
Comfort and quality for the dog
The fleece is soft and comfortable to protect the paw. The socks are sewn with top-quality fabric, seams, and Velcro.
Use of Fleece paw sock
This paw sock is well suited for walks in dry snow and on bare ground.

Velcro
Seleverkstedet provides dog socks without elastic Velcro. This is because we find that dog socks with elastic Velcro are more likely to fall off during use. If they are tightened a little too hard, there is a risk that the elastic Velcro will constrict too much. This can restrict blood circulation in the joint if they are not constantly moving. If it is not tightened very hard, there will always be a little elasticity left so that the Velcro can slip over the paw when the dog steps down into the snow or pushes off firmly.
Use of dog socks
Once you have put the sock on, lift the other leg so that the dog stands properly on the leg with the sock on – then it is easier to see if the sock fits. It should not be too tight around the paw, nor should it hang loosely. Lift up the leg with the sock, tug on the sock, and make sure that it does not slip over the paw.
Give the socks a longer life
Paw socks are a consumable item, but you can give them a longer life with simple tricks. Long claws wear down paw socks, but can also be harmful to the dog. Keep the claws short and file them lightly after trimming. Brush the socks free of gravel and make sure there is never gravel inside the sock.
NB! Once a sock has a hole in it, it can no longer be used. Then there is a risk that stones or snow can get inside the sock and cause damage to the dog's paw.
