Seleverkstedet High Endurance dog boot paw sock grey
4-pack size XL
Tall dog paw sock with double Velcro. The paw socks are sewn from nylon with a light coating on the inside to protect against water. They feature strong seams on the side and a seamless toe section. Perfect for walks in both wet and dry conditions to protect your dog's paws on gravel, stones, and asphalt.
Why a tall paw sock and double Velcro?
Some dogs experience chafing around the dewclaw with "regular" paw socks. This can be avoided by taping the dewclaw. This tall paw sock can solve this problem by fastening the lower Velcro strap around the "wrist" and the upper Velcro strap over the dewclaw. Double Velcro - twice as secure.
Uses for nylon paw socks
Perfect for walks in wet and dry conditions to protect your dog's paws on gravel, stones, and asphalt.

Velcro strap
Seleverkstedet dog socks do not have elastic Velcro. This is because we find that dog socks with elastic Velcro are more likely to fall off during use. If they are tightened slightly too much, there is a risk that the elastic Velcro will constrict too tightly. This can restrict blood circulation in the joint if they are not constantly moving. If they are not tightened tightly enough, there will always be some elasticity left, allowing the Velcro to slip over the paw when the dog steps down into the snow or kicks off strongly.
Using dog socks
Once you have put on the sock, lift the other leg so that the dog stands properly on the leg with the sock on – then it is easier to see if the sock fits. It should not be too tight around the paw, nor should it hang loosely. Lift up the leg with the sock, tug on the sock, and make sure it does not slip over the paw.
Make the socks last longer
Paw socks are a consumable product, but you can make them last longer with simple tricks. Long claws wear down paw socks, but can also be harmful to the dog. Keep the claws short and file them lightly after trimming. Brush the socks free of gravel and make sure there is never any gravel inside the sock. n nNB! Once a sock has a hole in it, it can no longer be used. There is then a risk that stones or snow can get inside the sock and cause injury to the dog's paw. n n n
