Seleverkstedet High Endurance dog boot grey
4-pack size Mini +
High dog boot with double Velcro straps. The boots are made of nylon with a light interior coating to protect against water. They feature high-quality side seams and a seamless toe area. Perfect for walks in both wet and dry conditions to protect your dog's paws on gravel, rocks, and asphalt.
Why high dog boots and double Velcro?
Some dogs experience chafing from the dewclaw with "standard" dog boots. This can be avoided by taping the dewclaw. This high boot can solve this problem as the lower Velcro strap is fastened at the "wrist" and the upper strap above the dewclaw. Double Velcro - double the security.
Use of nylon dog boots
Perfect for walks in wet and dry conditions to protect your dog's paws on gravel, rocks, and asphalt.

Velcro straps
Seleverkstedet supplies dog boots without elastic Velcro. This is because we find that dog boots with elastic Velcro are more likely to fall off during use. If tightened too much, there is a risk that the elastic Velcro will restrict too much, which can hinder blood circulation in the joint if the dog is not constantly moving. If not tightened firmly, there will always be some slack, allowing the Velcro to slip over the paw when the dog steps into snow or pushes off hard.
Using dog boots
Once you have put on the boot, lift the other leg so that the dog is standing properly on the leg with the boot – this makes it easier to see if the boot fits. It should not be too tight around the paw, nor hang loose. Lift the leg with the boot, give it a tug, and ensure that it doesn't slip off the paw.
Give your boots a longer life
Dog boots are a consumable item, but you can extend their lifespan with a few simple tricks. Long nails wear out dog boots and can also be harmful to the dog. Keep nails short and file them lightly after clipping. Brush the boots to keep them free of gravel and ensure there is never any gravel inside the boot. NB! Once a boot has a hole in it, it can no longer be used. At that point, there is a risk that gravel or snow can get inside the boot and cause injury to the dog's paw.
